Default MS Mayflower

Well, having completed the MS Bounty Launch I turned my attention the MS Mayflower this weekend. I opened the box that I purchased almost a year ago to this date to survey the parts and found some issues with the keel. I think I can straighten everything but thought I would keep a log of my progress and let you see what I am doing. Attached are some photos showing the keel out of the box.

I would get a new one. That is some screwy warping. Why risk problems down the road. MS will replace it for free.

I hope you enjoy the project.

Chuck

Hi Chuck, I was going to contact MS and see if they would replace it. I was thinking though because it's been over a year they might not honor it.

I've always found MS to be excellent in their customer service.
Also, enjoy building the Mayflower Don. I know I did and Chucks practicum was right on.

I got an email from MS Parts, the laser machine is down and it will be another week before I see the new keel.

The new keel arrived today and is very straight compared to the one with the kit. Now I can begin working on the model. Thanks MS.

How about this, after such excellent service by ME they don't show a password for my account I was able to log into my account a few weeks ago.

I had to give them a new password.
