Hello Guest! There's a lot to look over, so sit back with a cup of coffee, relax and browse around. We have a great group of ship and boat modelers here, both newbies and old salts, from all over the world. Our goal here is to help each other, without criticism or rebuke. Both newbies and old salts alike can learn from each other. No one has all the answers. Our most basic rule is simple, respect for your fellow members and their opinions. And don't take yourself too seriously! wirewolf (John, AKA - Cap), Forum Administrator

Thanks Russ,
Yes I was very impressed with the tables of data. I'll check out the author and see what I can find. Sometimes old books like that can be found in Google Books. I have found several old artillery books like those mentions in Milton Roths book Ship Modeling from Stem to Stern and those by Charles Davies. I'll let you know what I find.

Hi Russ,
The book you mentioned is available through Amazon and a few other book stores. I did a google search for John Robertson + Treatise of Such Mathematical Instruments and was able to see a limited preview of the book. It does not appear to be very expensive around $15.

Russ, I was looking thru your data and my book looking for the location of the bed bolt. Do you know how to position this?

--edited--
I found the answer.

The bed bolt passes under the middle of the 4th step and even with the hind step.
