A bit of clarity here, which navy is this applicable to. In my book there are only two, the Royal and the Merchant, both of the UK but then I'm biased. Then as a Scot with 30 years at sea thats understandable!

Hi John,
I served on the USS Kitty Hawk, 1966 - 1968. We had a escort ship, the HMAS Hobart serve with our Task Force. Do you know if she's still in service? By the way, we had a rip roaring time with you Aussie Sailors in Hong Kong, but they wouldn't allow you guys in our dungaree liberty port of Subic Bay, next door to Olongapo City. They said the Aussies where just TOO wild and crazy!!! ![]() John
