Hello Guest! There's a lot to look over, so sit back with a cup of coffee, relax and browse around. We have a great group of ship and boat modelers here, both newbies and old salts, from all over the world. Our goal here is to help each other, without criticism or rebuke. Both newbies and old salts alike can learn from each other. No one has all the answers. Our most basic rule is simple, respect for your fellow members and their opinions. And don't take yourself too seriously! wirewolf (John, AKA - Cap), Forum Administrator

A bit of clarity here, which navy is this applicable to. In my book there are only two, the Royal and the Merchant, both of the UK but then I'm biased. Then as a Scot with 30 years at sea thats understandable!

VERY PROUD Ex-Saiolor.

Served for 12 years abord multiple ships and would do it again if I was a younger man, LOL.

Hi John,

I served on the USS Kitty Hawk, 1966 - 1968. We had a escort ship, the HMAS Hobart serve with our Task Force. Do you know if she's still in service?

By the way, we had a rip roaring time with you Aussie Sailors in Hong Kong, but they wouldn't allow you guys in our dungaree liberty port of Subic Bay, next door to Olongapo City. They said the Aussies where just TOO wild and crazy!!!

John
