I am about to attach the brass rudder hinges to my wood rudder and am wondering what the best adhesive is for gluing brass to wood. I have used Goo, Hobby Poxy or Superglue in the past - but have not been completely happy with results. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Agreed.
Two part is the best way to go. There are several 'types'. Fast set (about five minutes, used for setting parts together) and slow set (about thirty minutes, generally used for coating purposes, like fiberglass). The faster set should do fine as you are gluing small surfaces together. You don't need a lot and only mix what you can use in about five minutes. And be sure to 'rough' up the metal (gives the epoxy a better grip, use a little emery board or paper) before gluing. Another alternative is to use pins (rivets). Are you using pintles and gundeons (open in a blank window)? John
