Hello Guest! There's a lot to look over, so sit back with a cup of coffee, relax and browse around. We have a great group of ship and boat modelers here, both newbies and old salts, from all over the world. Our goal here is to help each other, without criticism or rebuke. Both newbies and old salts alike can learn from each other. No one has all the answers. Our most basic rule is simple, respect for your fellow members and their opinions. And don't take yourself too seriously! wirewolf (John, AKA - Cap), Forum Administrator

However, mine will be called the MS Unarmed Virginia Sloop.

Glad to hear of someone else making this model. For me it is a first attempt at buliding a POB model (having just completed The Phantom). I am in the northern ohio area and there are no clubs so I am sort of going on my own. It would be great to communicate with someone else who is building the AVS (or UA VS).

Sure thing Bahamas Diver. I am currently gluing on the keel parts and cutting the rabbet. Have to go by the hardware store and get some 2-part epoxy tonight for that. I will likely be gluing on bulkheads this weekend.
This is my 4th model so I have some experience and skill now, but nothing like the other craftsman on this forum.

Richard
