fitting transom on corel victory
I've finished the second planking on my Corel Victory and am looking ahead to putting on the galleries and transom. While dry fitting the pieces, it seems the supports for the transom extend too far back from what's necessary. I've also looked at the plans for shaping the lower blocks and that's left me scratching my head. It reminds me of those "Draw Tommy the Turtle" ads where you start with a circle and in three steps end up with something you could put in an art museum.
If anybody has some help, it would be appreciated. Meanwhile, back to squaring off the gunports and sanding down the hull.
Well, part of my question has been answered: The supports were left too far back. I realized that after checking the plans again after thinking about the matter. Too bad I didn't realize that BEFORE I did the planking. Oh well, a few adjustments and a good lesson learned.
Still puzzling about shaping those blocks
