Cool This is a General Forum Posting
You're in the Forum. You see a member log on that you would like to contact about that planking job on their model, or you both share a common project and would like to exchange some quick information.

Easy you say! I'll send him (or her) a Private Message. You compose the message, and hit Submit. But, poof, they logged off. . Now you have to wait for their response. Well, maybe not.

We have a new feature, a ‘Chat Room’ . And in conjunction with this new Chat Room feature is ‘VbPager’ , where you can send an instant Page Message to any members online, or even off line (when they log on, they will get your page message).

You can use the Pager for other purposes as well, not just for sending an invitation to the Chat Room. This Pager is meant to send short messages (150) characters.

Using the Chat Room is very easy. Only one thing. Please give other members time to respond to messages. We all have different connection speeds and you have to give some members time to reply.

Here are some Screen Shots of the Chat Feature and the VbPager Feature:

PS; Using the Chat Room requires that you have Macromedia Flash Player  , a free download.
For the Pager, you may have to enable Pop-Ups for the Ship Model Forum Site. Check your Browser settings.

Enjoy,
