Default useless tools

From some replies to my thread on the Mantua Plank Bender in this and other sites, it appears that there are many useless tools out there for purchase. It might be helpful to many of us (and save us some money) if we had one thread to look at for tool comments.
Two problem items to start with appear to be the Mantua Plank Bender and the Loom-a line.
Are there any others that should be added to the list?

I would be interested in any info on the Loom-A-Line, before I bought one.

I have never used Loom a line, but the plank bender does not bend hardwood (see thread below "Mantua Plank Bender".

I've already seen that thread. I guess I don't understand how rigging couldn't fit, the rigging you would run on it isn't a real taut fit anyway. I thought it was just for tying ratlines.

I have never used a Loom-a Line, but friend did purchase one. His opinion is it's not worth the money. It's easier and more accurate to rig the shrouds and tie ratlines on the ship.
I did purchase some rigging tools at one time with hooks and bends. I found them useless for me. I prefer tweezers, needles stuck in a xacto knife and fingers to work the lines.
