Default Making Wire Rope

Hello:

I am new at modeling and hope I am not overstepping my bounds by writing this short post.

To make wire rope: I cut 3 or 4 strands of wire approximately 24 inches long. I place the ends together in a small vice. I place the other ends into my cordless, speed adjustable drill. I turn on the drill using a slow speed and keeping a little tesnion on the wires I watch as the wire splices together. When it reaches the desired "look" I stop the drill. I then cut off each end and have wire rope.

It looks phenomonal on some of the standing rigging and where ever one has to tie the bowsprit together.

I hope you can use this little tip.
