It was suggested that I put this jig for coiling ropes to be placed on the deck in this forum so here it is.
I use a mandrel from my Dremel kit and a 1" cut off wheel. Add a plastic disk about the same diameter as the wheel and you have a rope coiller. Be sure to place the mandrel washer between the disks to allow space for the line. I've included some photos, hope it comes in handy. Pete

Two other notes I just thought of. Put a little diluted white glue (I like Titebond Molding & Trim) in a tray and dip your thumb and forfinger in it now & then as you let the line slip through your fingers.
Also, bevel the edge of the plastic disk a little. That will allow the line to flow into the disks more easily. Pete
