In the winter of 2000 I got bored and decided to do something different with my time and money...so I decided to take up model ship building.
When I opened the box and started to get going, I couldn't believe how MONEY and time would be involved (typical newbie sentiment). I shelved the project in 2001, after failing to properly install the first layer of planking for a third time. By that time the emphasis of my thoughts had been reversed. l couldn't believe how much TIME and money were involved. I didn't expect the project to be easy...I just didn't think it would be that hard or difficult. Anyway, hello folks. I am looking forward to talking with you as well as picking your brains as the time and/or need arises. Mike

Mike,
There is a lot of time involved and a certain amount of funds if you do not have the tools. Several shipwrights here on the forum have made their own tools for specific task. Browse around and you will be back on course in no time, by the way ship building it isn't a race so take your time. Charlie |
