Default another modeling website

Hi all: Found an interesting new site (to me) called "finescale.com" all different types of modeling and a very friendly bunch of people. Lots of diorama experience there.

james,

They also have magazine called FineScale Modeler. I sometimes pick one up at the news stand.

Don:
Is the mag mostly plastic stuff? I was thinking of subscribing to it.

G'day James, there's not much in it in the way of wooden boats.

Their web site is mostly plastic also. But they do have a lot of diorama and airbrush info.

James,

The magazine covers mostly plastic kits. Like John said, there is not much on wooden boats. They have articles that appear from time to time that are interesting to read but I don't subscribe to it, if I see an article that peaks my interest, I'll pick one up at the news stand.

I posted on the finescale forum as I was building the Phantom, since they had a group build thread for her. But the thread sort of dried up. There isn't a lot of interest in wooden models among the membership there.
