Hello Guest! There's a lot to look over, so sit back with a cup of coffee, relax and browse around. We have a great group of ship and boat modelers here, both newbies and old salts, from all over the world. Our goal here is to help each other, without criticism or rebuke. Both newbies and old salts alike can learn from each other. No one has all the answers. Our most basic rule is simple, respect for your fellow members and their opinions. Default Plans and directions for Swift 1805 by Artesania Latina

New member with years of experience with wood ship models. I was given the kit for SWIFT 1805 by Artesania Latina. Can someone suggest where I can acquire original plans and directions. All parts are present less plans. Thank you. Waister BRINY

Hi Briny,
If you won't mind waiting a few days or so, I think I can get you a copy of the plans by having my old man photocopy them in sections and turn them into a PDF file. Then I could email them to you (with a copy of the instructions as well if you'd like them) and you could print them at your leisure provided you have the means.
Would this work for you? It's the only way I can think of to get you a copy without endless hours of searching the net for someone who may have already done the same thing.

If it was any company but Art. Lat. I would say write to them and ask for the plans but with them you'll be lucky to get an answer at all.
If you want to spend a few bucks for them and Brad has a Staples or Kinko's in the outback down there, they'll make an exact duplicate to size and in color if they are in color.

I have the written instructions posted on my web page: http://www.eldrbarry.net/hatr/wdshp/swift.htm (Scroll down to the bottom) including an article in Ships in Scale.

If you can get the plans in pdf, as suggested above, send them on to me as well and I will also put them on the page. I occasionally get requests - but have been frustrated with the large sheet of plans)

Shouldn't be a problem. The plans won't be exactly as printed originally, but will have to be broken down into individual diagrams. This is because the originals are slightly larger than A3 size, and that's the largest size the photocopier we have can handle.
So, I'll photocopy the individual diagrams, scan them in and turn them into a PDF file.
I'll repost here when they're done, though it may not be for a few days or so, as I have to ask my old man to do it for me at work and it'll depend on how busy they are this week.

I am still looking for that first model . I look at the plans and the write ups to see if I have the hand coordination to build it. If you could send me a set I would appreciate it.
