Default Help reqd with New Maquettes 'Le Surcouf'

Hi evry1!

I was wondering if anyone can help me with some info' / tips / advice on my first ever build. I'm currently building 'Le Surcouf' a French destroyer for my son - the problem I have is the instruction sheets are in French and none of the parts are labelled which is a bit of a pig because the instruction sheets (some of which I'm sure are missing!) refer to part numbers and have very poor - if any - diagrams.

At the moment the hull planking, deck and formers have been built -without twisting!!

I've been told that I need to coat the inside with resin and to seal and shape the outside with body filler (automotive??). Do either of these procedures pose a risk of warping the hull, and if so, how do I avoid it.

Oh and I've already done the easy bits (superstructure, life boats, guns etc!)

You can type in French words at this website and get a rough translation...

As for your other issues, I cannot help you because I have never built such a model before!

I hope the translate site helps you.

I've tried that, most online translators do not accommodate technical / nautical terms?!?!?!

Anyway, most of superstructure is now built, along with the 'armament' - the hull has been treated to a healthy dollop (or six) of body filler.
Will upload progress photo's when I can find my camera

Is it just me or do things always go missing at the most inopportune moment in a 'cluttered' workshop???)

And then to add to the frustration, you always find it in the LAST place you look!
