Hello Guest! There's a lot to look over, so sit back with a cup of coffee, relax and browse around. We have a great group of ship and boat modelers here, both newbies and old salts, from all over the world. Our goal here is to help each other, without criticism or rebuke. Both newbies and old salts alike can learn from each other. No one has all the answers. Our most basic rule is simple, respect for your fellow members and their opinions. Default Progress photos of my Agamemnon

I have just uploaded (in Grandad - Agamemnon, 1781) a few progress pics of my Agamemnon ...... 2 years in the build so far.
Made of pearwood, ebony and maple. Treenails also in pear and maple.
Still got the rigging to make and fit - another 6 months.

Beautiful work Roger! Is this scratch or the Caldercraft kit? This is why I got into this hobby.

Beautiful work on all three models! And it's great that you have photographed them so well that the details can be seen.

She is a Caldercraft kit but made of pearwood, ebony and maple with quite a few enhancements.

Great job. I really admire your work. Is the material for the coppering the hull supplied from kit or did you form it yourself and if so how?

Happy modeling,
Len

Great job Grandad. I too enjoy looking at your work. One of these days I'll get to the level of modeling that you have obtained. Keep the photos coming.

The copper plates are supplied with the Caldercraft kit but I have treated them with some gunk I got from a metallurgist to make them more realistic. I initially used the same stuff on my HMS Diana to good effect so was confident to use it here.

Just had a look at your gallery.
Awesome work
I particularly liked the crisp paint job.

Keep it up,
and hopefully i will be as good as you at some far point in the future.

Hello Gary
No, I shan't enter her again this year, I expect the rules wouldn't allow me to enter anyway. I finished her in Oct 2006, so I'll let her rest in peace in her glass case.
........... and now back to the workshop!
Roger
