Default Mamoli 1:90 HMS Victory

Hello to all. I have an issue with installing the canons and carrages to the main gun deck. The instruction tell me I should place the canons throught the canon port hole from the outside. They do not fit..... Has anybody else had the same problem. I have read over my instructions thinking I have missed a step.....No I have not. The only way I can see to overcome this is to somehow feed them 1 by 1 along the gun deck and again some how fix them into position. mmmmmmm not sure.

Cheers.

Gary - I am not familiar with the Mamoli Victory but I have built the Corel Victory. The problem you describe is the same for that kit and, no, you did not miss a step. The solution is to, indeed, feed them 1 by 1 along the gun deck and, using long narrow tools, manuvere them into place. Then you carefully reach in with a wire, or some other suitable tool, with a drop of super glue (CA glue) and fix them to the deck. Good luck. Dennis

Milt, can I ask what stage you are at with your build. Have you come across any other problems I should know about. It appears the rear transome where the captains quarters are a little out of shape...also the metal fittings are some what badly cast. Im thinking I might make my own, this also applies to the figure head on the bow.

Would it be possible to insert the carriage first and then insert the barrel on the carriage?
