Hello Guest! There's a lot to look over, so sit back with a cup of coffee, relax and browse around. We have a great group of ship and boat modelers here, both newbies and old salts, from all over the world. Our goal here is to help each other, without criticism or rebuke. Both newbies and old salts alike can learn from each other. No one has all the answers. Our most basic rule is simple, respect for your fellow members and their opinions. And don't take yourself too seriously! wirewolf (John, AKA - Cap), Forum Administrator

Default Cutty Sark

Hi All,
I haven't posted anything for quite some time I guess life gets in the way sometimes....
Progress is coming along on the Mantua C/S and I really hope to complete this calendar year.
It's been a mission but I can see light at the end of the tunnel.
It would be interesting to know if anyone else is attempting or has completed this model.
Mine is a bit of a "Kit Bash."

I'd really like to do another subject but I am holding off, don't want to lose my focus.

I have posted some "Progress" photos....

Wow, that's a beautiful looking model Harry.

I haven't started on a clipper ship yet, but when I do I hope it looks half as nice as yours!

Nice job, please keep up the good work – I'm looking forward to seeing her done.

Clare

Thanks for the comment, much appreciated....
This is my 3rd serious ship model and I am certainly no expert.

I guess I like the challenge....

Hi! After looking at the photos you posted I am tempted to just put mine away. ;-) I am restarting work on mine after a 13 year break. I have the hull and all the deck structures finished and am ready to start on the standing rigging. I am ready to mount the hull to the permanent mounting board but am stuck on the best way to do that. Looks like you just used 2 of the brass 3/16 slot pedestals, right? Any other suggestions for this step? Any tip you could offer would be much appreciated!

Thanks and best regards,

Allan
