Chuck, I added one more row of plank to the transom. The distance measures exactly as on the print.

I have another question Chuck regarding the knees for the windows at the stern. I have several laser cut knees and when I compare them to the plan they look larger than they need to be (see photo)
Can you tell from the photo if these are the correct knees? Now the plan calls for 4 knees are the others used somewhere else?

To be honest...I dont remember. It was so long ago. I always add extra parts just in case. I also make them slightly larger so after you sand the laser char off they will be the correct size. But not to large. If you can take the part and lay it ext to the plan I will be able to tell you for sure.

I made a template to mark the stanchions along the poop deck and I think as far as the transom being the right height I will be OK.

I'm starting to cut the stanchions for the bulwarks. The stanchions are 1/16 x 3/32 according to the practicum. Neither the plans or the practicum say how these should be set in place only how to mark their locations and the approx., length. So, should they be set with the "flat" side (3/32) against the bulwark or "edge" side (1/16). In looking at the photo in the practicum it's very hard to say which way they go since the stanchions appear to be square. Also, the deck plan show 1/16 x 1/16 square stanchions which seems contrary to the practicum. I'm a little confused at this point.

The 1/16" side should be glued against teh bulwarks.
