Hello Guest! There's a lot to look over, so sit back with a cup of coffee, relax and browse around. We have a great group of ship and boat modelers here, both newbies and old salts, from all over the world. Our goal here is to help each other, without criticism or rebuke. Both newbies and old salts alike can learn from each other. No one has all the answers. Our most basic rule is simple, respect for your fellow members and their opinions. And don't take yourself too seriously! wirewolf (John, AKA - Cap), Forum Administrator

Default So Fla member building Victory

Hi all. Glad to be a new member. I live in So. Florida and would like to connect with other modelers in my area. There use to be a club here but have lost track of the group. Anyway, look forward to meeting some of you and being part of the site.

Where in southern Florida are you?
There is a small club in the Ft Myers area, SW Florida Ship modelers Guild,
of which I'm a member. Also believe there is a club in the Tampa area, but not familiar of the details. Can supply details if interested.

Thanks Bob. I am in the Ft. Lauderdale/Miami area. A bit far but maybe on those occassions when I am on the west coast I can connect. Can you suggest the best thread for the Corel Victory kit.1:98 scale. By the way I think Michigan is a great state. My son went to the Univer. of Michigan.

MJG-Although not a thread, you might be interested in examining the photos of that model under construction in my gallery on this site. The name of the collection is "Corel's HMS Victory" by me, dennis clark. Good luck with the ship, it is very challenging and also very rewarding, beautiful when completed. Dennis

Thanks Dennis. I'll be sure to check out your gallery. Having a great experience working on the ship. Wish I could work on it 24/7.
