Hello Guest! There's a lot to look over, so sit back with a cup of coffee, relax and browse around. We have a great group of ship and boat modelers here, both newbies and old salts, from all over the world. Our goal here is to help each other, without criticism or rebuke. Both newbies and old salts alike can learn from each other. No one has all the answers. Our most basic rule is simple, respect for your fellow members and their opinions. And don't take yourself too seriously! wirewolf (John, AKA - Cap), Forum Administrator

Einstein's boats

Not exactly a modeling item but still of some interest I believe, is this site which goes into Einstein's boats and his very casual approach to sailing, though he dearly loved it as a past-time. You...

Re: Buccaneer

Very interesting! And all along I thought it was derived from the oft heard question in those leaky galleons,"Bucket near? (If so, start bailing, matey!)"

Re: I fell of the face of the Earth

The Vasa does seem to have its problems - the original was sunk before it got very far from its launching and now the replica got chewed up by kittie! Is your cat a Norwegian Forest Cat and possibly...

Port Jefferson ships

The latest on-line issue of LI Sail has a very interesting article (from the book of the same name) called The Half Thousand Ships Built in Port Jefferson. It is also well illustrated with photos and...

Re: Home Movie of the Joesph Conrad

Try going directly to Youtube and searching for "Joseph Conrad." After that look for Excerpt from Voyage of Joseph Conrad and for Excerpt #2 from Voyage of Joseph Conrad. Good luck.

Re: Home Movie of the Joesph Conrad

You may have to search on Youtube under "Joseph Conrad" as it didn't come up when I clicked on the URL either. Or did you find it and couldn't view it?

Re: New to this forum

Pay particular attention to the size requirements and double check what size your originals are as otherwise you may have problems. There used to be a warning if the originals were too big to be...
