I am building Billings Boats Bluenose II kit#600. This ship only has the first planking, no final layer. and then is to be painted... I put a coat of primer on...

OK.... need to find my happy place..... breath in.. breath out.... count to 100....need to find a very fine pen... to re-ink a few of the deck lines...

That would be so very true... at least we can hope that there is a small percentage of people that do care about more than money...

I am building the Billings Bluenose II kit #600.

After planking the hull, I find that the keel measures 7mm, and the sternpost measures 5mm. And the gaps in the stand measures 5mm.... Seems kinda...

thanks Richard, I will try that... I am assuming that you use the sharpie on both sides before you glue?, as opposed to, on one side? or is two sides to much?... of course I could just try it to see...

I know it's been a while since I posted last... lots going on at work... long hours... working slowly on the Bluenose... anyway... I tried staining plastic, and the gloss looked bad... tried painting...

I see the suggestion of using 'black glue' to simulate caulking for deck planking......
I use Elmer's wood glue.... what would be suggested to add to my wood glue that would mix well, and when dried,...
