In general this is a pretty good kit when built. Be prepared for some usual deficiencies, for example, not enough belaying pins, not enough blocks, very sparse instructions (but good photos instructions for the most part). The grating materials are also way out of scale, I used some left over from another build. There are many details that are required and no instruction on how to accomplish them. There is more than adequate lumber for the build. I found one part that I couldn't immediately identify, I looked at the photo on the box and located the part. It is a crown that sits atop the coat of arms at the bowspirit. I found this only after mounting the coat of arms.
The sails are way out of scale and with many imperfections, better of making your own, or leaving them off. They will cover a great deal of detail on the deck.
