Since this was my first try at building a ship and doing it from scratch, I am happy with the outcome. I sure learned a lot. My next project is going to be the Rattlesnake, this one is a kit.

I suggest the Model Shipways kit. It has much better plans than the Mamoli kit, although the fittings are the same. I also suggest making your own carvings since the cast fittings are clumsy in both kits. Harold Hahn wrote an article about the Rattlesnake for the Nautical Research Journal in the mid 90's. Worth reading if you can find a copy.
