Gary:
Just in case you do get in: Victory's Captain was Thomas Hardy.
Again; I recommend that site to anybody building a Victory, or any other model ship.. I wonder why it won't let you in?

If you guys like that last site you will go nuts over this one....
HMS Victory Modelers Resource Forum
Seems to be mostly plastic kit builders but the information and subject matter covered is extremely rich and very advanced. Enjoy
Cheers

Dave:
Seems to be the same site. Finally added a few photo's to my album showing bow area and foreyard under construction.
Tonight I plan on making a few of the large triple and double blocks for the jeers and the quarter blocks for topsail sheet. My kit has none of these. The foreyard is mostly complete, except for the blocks and the furled sail (the wife is building that one.).

James - do you keep a build log ?

Gary:
I use this thread for a log; I also use Picasa on my computer to keep a photographic log. If you mean a hand-written log book of the build, no.

I was thinking of a hand written log . just wondering if you tracked the hours of build time ?

cheers

Just wanted to say "Hi". I've been slaving away on the Corel Vic for almost 2 years.

I believe there has to be a special place for us in heaven...

Re: Hms Victory Another Rich Site

I've never kept a record of time spent, if I did I would probably get depressed. Ex: I've spent the last three days ( a few hours a day) trying to figure out the best way make and the proper size for large triple, double, and single blocks that go on the fore and main yards.

If I ever get this one done, my next one will be the Flying Fish, or Constitution. On that one I tink I will keep a log, just to see how much time I spend on it.
