I glued mine on both sides of the tiller and also pinned it. The opposite side of the pin has no "head" so I just glued the head of another pin to that side - looks like both sides have heads now.
On the rudder, I just pinned and added the extra head but did not glue the strip of brass to the rudder. This way it moves up and down.

Your right Bill, there's no way to get your money back on these models. I wouldn't pay that kind of money for my models either.

What ya do is give them away as gifts and tell the gift receiver that they are worth a lot of money. lol
