I agree with Gary, excellent job. No matter what the technique, if it works it's good.
I think some modelers say "but, this is the way the instructions say to do it, and it doesn't work.". The trick is to find a way that works for "you". That's how "new techniques" are developed, and passed on (hopefully) like here on the forum.
