Model Shipways Mayflower progress
Workshop time was limited for a couple of weeks but I am now back into a groove. The decks are planked and the gratings completed. I have started work on the bulkhead details at each break in the deck levels. Then I will put the bulwark sides in position for final planking. I am happy with the results so far. ME supplies a pinstripe tape in a wide range of colors and widths. I used white tape that was .010 wide. Thats pretty thin stuff. Its self adhesive. I placed a clear sheet of acetate over the plans and then used the thin tape to simulate the diamond pattern. I think its an improvement and looks more like leaded glass than before. I realize its hard to tell in the pictures though. Then I used slighter wider tape to fram the entire window before I secured to the back of the window opening.
Any comments would be welcomed as usual.
