Hi,
I've been lurking about for quite some time, finally built up the nerve to purchase a wooden ship model and officially register on this forum. I've been building plastic models for long time but wooden models are a whole new animal to me. There seems to be a wealth of talent and information here and I am anxious (and a bit nervous) to get started. Thanks, brian

Any Idea which kit you're going to start with? Or do you plan on jumping right into the scratch build? I am always excited to see a new project begin.

Glad to have you aboard Brian,
I think you made a wise choice with the Phantom. You will learn a lot from Chuck Passaros practicum and end up with a fine model. I started with the Phantom also. Many members have built the Phantom and some still are. Feel free to ask questions. No question is too dumb.

Thanks for the greetings :)
Eric, I picked up the Phantom by Model Shipways and I see you're well on your way to finishing it up....I'm so jealous..lol Dennis, it was because of Chuck's practicum that I decided to give it go. I'm really looking forward to starting. brian |
