Biography:
Used to love building plastic models. About 20 years ago, I was determined to build the definitive Revell U.S.S. Constitution kit. Then, for some reason, I ended up with a dinky solid hull wood pilot boat kit, built it and I was hooked on wood ship models!

Interests:
I only recently started reconnecting with my Japanese heritage (1/2 Japanese, born in Tokyo) and now I'm deeply involved in traditional Japanese music, modern taiko drumming, and ancient Noh theater.

Current Project Name:
San Felipe rigging project

Status of Project:
Rebuilding the ship's boats

Current Modeling Project Description:
Managed to get a commission to rig a model of the San Felipe as the builder got too sick to finish it. Started working on the shrouds and ratlines, but then the owner asked if I could detail the cannons. So, project has expanded slightly.
