Semi Retired, Manage a small inn near the Pacific Coast

Biography:
Retired North Carolina State employee, former Marine 64 - 68, former police officer. Have done a number of plastic models and a few balsa aircraft. Have never undertaken a ship and am looking forward to the attempt. I do have a particular US Navy ship in mind that has ties to the US Marines. Hope to be able to get a lot of help in the building process. I look forward to chatting with many of you.

Interests:
Reading - Military History, Sci-Fi, autobiographies. Somewhat computer literate. Have built some furniture in the past - a couple of small tables and the like. Enjoying my grandchildren.

Status of Project:
Just getting started

Current Modeling Project Description:
I have been working on the model for about a month and a half - don't have a lot of spare time so it has been slow going. I do have the first coat of epoxy on the outside of the hull. I am getting ready to start mounting the motors, speed control, servo and rudders after I have applied the fiberglass.
