| Description: | This book is published by Osprey publishing which does a lot of quick reference books for modelers sold generally in hobby stores. It is an 8 x 10 paperback with glossy paper. It has a brief history the American Humphreys class frigates, i.e United States, Constitution, President etc for a total of 18 ships. It ONLY covers those frigates. It is basically a drawn out encyclopedia entry (48 pages) with some color plates and drawings. A couple showing mast layouts that might be useful to modelers. A cut away of the Constitution's deck layout is also included. This is mainly a historical quick reference book as such, useful pictures/info for modeling is lacking. It works good for those with limited space or budget (it's cheap) for a full library. JI give it roughly 1 out of 5 for modeling and 3 out of 5 for historical info. | |
