A very good and dear friend of ours recently retired from lobster fishing and his greatest regret was never being able to make it to having his own boat.
As a surprise I was planning on scratching building a model for him as this winter's project and I recently picked up a set of Midwest Maine Lobster Boat plans. Now, my spies are telling me that as he's Nova Scotian born & bred it should, strictly speaking, be a Cape Islander Boat. Comparing photos of the two types, the hulls, to me, look to be sufficiently different that I can't really use the plans I have.... they are 1:16 which translates to a model size of about 24" which is what I'm looking for.
If anybody can help me track down the right plans I would be very, very grateful.
