Folks,
Does anybody have information on books that are available which would assist in rigging the HMS Victory. I have some details off the intranet and photos, along with an article from Model Boat magazine. :coffee:

The Anatomy of the Ship Series has a very detailed book called "the 100-Gun Ship Victory "
by John Mckay. I got a copy from Amazon and it has very explicit rigging details.

There's also what I guess is now pretty much a classic: The Masting and Rigging of English Ships of War by James Lees.

You could also try the classic: The Anatomy of Nelsons Ships (http://www.shipmodeling.net/vb_forum/links/showlink.php?do=showdetails&l=96&catid=24) by C. Neapean Longridge that covers the construction of the Victory at 1:48 Scale. It has large sections on all aspects of the masting and rigging of this particular ship along with many photo's and diagrams.
