To glue small items on my model without spoiling most of it I always use a medical syringe of 1 ml.
For the normal transparent glue I put a needle-pin in the end of the needle to store it.
For the CA-glue put nothing in the needle.
When the needle is filled with dry glue use a small flame of a lighter to unstop it.
ATTENTION THE VAPORS ARE POISONED!!!!! :teach:

This way you can glue with very small drops of glue and work secure on the model.

I've been using some small straight pins to pick up tiny drops of glue from wax paper. I've also ordered the replacement tips and applicator accessories from E-Z Bond. Please let me know if you believe this is a waste of time/money. Also, where would one acquire 1 ml. medical syringes?

Read this post - Using CA glue (http://shipmodeling.net/vb_forum/showthread.php?t=33), near the bottom of the thread. Also, where would one acquire 1 ml. medical syringes? Best bet is a medical supply house. But you may have a hard time convincing them what you want them for. Or a friend who is a nurse or doctor. They sell ones for crafting, but they're cheap and don't work very well. Medical syringes are not cheap.

I've been using small syringes for glue for many years, & can attest to their usefulness. Rather than hypodermic needles, sometimes I like to use flexible plastic tubing such as is marketed for i.v. sample collection.

I use 10 and 20ml hypodermics for gluing but I recently found a great source for cheap syringes. The food market sells what they call "flavor injectors". They're large syringes to inject seasoning in meat but they work just as well on wood ships for wood glue. They may be slightly large for CA glue.

When I was in Missouri, there were vetranary suppliers all over the place where you can get the needles and syringes. Anyone serious about cattle has to have access to that stuff. Dan

:coffee: Here in the Tampa area they've just started advertising a wood glue named "LocTite" on television. Accordingly its supposed to be stronger than nails.

Although it comes in a cylinder and is supposed to be used with a a hand held caulk/gun dispenser.

I'm thinking along the lines that if its sold in a small tube, then maybe a small amount of it can be applied with a toothpick. :coffee:

Loctite is a CA glue that you can buy in 1 or 2 ounce bottles. You can get it at any Walmart, Home Depot or Lowes etc. I prefer wood glues because they don't stain like CA and if you want to remove a glued piece all you need to do is apply a little heat and it softens the dried glue.
Elmers Pro wood glue or Titebond. Titebond II and III are the strongest but dry a brown color, Titebond also makes a molding and trim glue that dries clear.
