I have a plastic box that measures about 12" x 6" x 2" with compartments that I call my "woodshed". After working on a model, I collect all of the the left over pieces of wood and put them in the woodshed. Whenever I need a small piece of wood for something, I just look in the woodshed before cutting a brand new piece of stock.
