Some of the members' have suggested that new required profile fields be added to the "Member Profiles". They feel that it's a better way to get to know one-another, and also to know what modeling project (and it's status) other members' are currently working on. If we all know what your current project is, the more we can help each other. We're not being nosy, but this is a forum for model ship hobbyists and knowing who is doing what is a good idea.
I agree. As for new registrants, I've already installed this feature. Any user filling out a new registration form will be required to fill in these extra fields. These fields are "Current Project Name", "Status of Project" (will show in the Projects List, Profile Page, and in Posts) and "Current Modeling Project Description" (will show in the Profile Page).
See these examples:

Memberlist - New Member - ceestoorn (8th down on the list - our first new member for 2005) (http://shipmodeling.net/vb_forum/memberlist.php?do=getall&page=2&ltr=&pp=15&order=asc&postslower=0&postsupper=0&sort=username&ausername=&homepage=&icq=&aim=&yahoo=&msn=&joindateafter=&joindatebefore=&lastpostafter=&lastpostbefore=)

As for existing members, please go here - Current Project Name (http://shipmodeling.net/vb_forum/profile.php?do=editprofile#project) in your UserCP and please fill out these new profile fields.
Note: "Current Modeling Project Description" is now also required.

BTW, as long as you are there, you may also fill out some of these optional fields (http://shipmodeling.net/vb_forum/profile.php?do=editprofile#location), if you haven't already done so:
* Location
* Occupation
* Biography
* Interests

These are not required, but I think it's a good way to make the Forum more like a community of fellow modelers, and not just a bunch of strangers. If you haven't already done so, you can include some of this information in the "Introduction Forum (http://shipmodeling.net/vb_forum/forumdisplay.php?f=16)" as a way to introduce yourself to the rest of the members.
Or if you have already created a "Introduction Message" when registering, you can go to your message and include some of this information. Just hit the "Edit" button next to your post.

Thanks, Cap :cap:
PS; The "Members List" is now the "Projects List (http://shipmodeling.net/vb_forum/memberlist.php?)".
Kind of a quick overview for instant reference of members, sorted by their "Current Project" and it's "Status", with members that have not filled out these two fields at the end of the list.
