Found this nice little page about glues...
Print it out and save a copy in your work area as a handy reference.

I'll be adding it to the Resources Page soon.

I'm rather new to modeling. Which one of those glues would you recommend for use in water?

prospect,
The best would be Epoxy. Use the 5 minute type (shorter clamping time) , but be sure the parts are lined up properly. There is NO UNDO with epoxy. Only mix enough that can be used in less than five minutes. Sometimes there is an advantage to "tack" the parts together first with small amounts of Cyanoacrylate. Then apply the epoxy. I would also recommend finishing the hull with an epoxy finish resin and marine type paints or varnishes (Spar). It's not a bad idea to give the inboard side of the hull a thin coat of finish resin also. The epoxy you can get at a hobby store and the paints at a marine supply store. They are rather expensive, but will hold up well in water. and will last a long time. If you would like to see an examble, go to the Photo Gallery, and look at wirewolfs' Cabin Cruiser.

Looked at the Cabin Cruiser. Looks nice. I'll contact wirewolf. I have a lot of questions to ask him about how he finished the model.
