Hi all!
I've added some new languages to the forum: :paper:
Arabic
Danish
Dutch (Nederlands)
French
German (Du)
German (Sie)
Hebrew (IL)
Italian
Norwegian
Portuguese
Spanish (South American)
Swedish
The default language will still be US English (This is the language when a visitor comes to the forum, or before a member logs in)
Any member can change their language preference by going to your UserCP, click on the "Edit Options" link, and make your selection at the very bottom of the page under "Forum Language" (see attached image (s).
These language translations are very kindly donated by volunteers from around the world. They may not completely translate every word in the forum, but will get about 99%. Messages that have already been posted in one language, will not be automatically translated into another. If you have posted in the language of your choice, then that is how the language will appear to others. I would suggest to still post your messages in English so every member can read and understand the post (s).
This language selection option is more to help with navigation within the forum only. Additional pages (Shop Notes, Articles, etc, and pages within the Photo Gallery will still show in English.
There is one other option. You can go to the Home page here: Ship Modeling Forum (http://shipmodeling.net/), go to the bottom of the page, use the drop down box to select a language, then click the "Translate" button. Every page that you view from then on will be translated by Google Translation. The only problem with this method is that it takes a little longer for pages to load because Google has to do the translations on the fly and once a member has logged in, it will default to the language selected in your UserCP.
These may not be perfect solutions to language translations, but I hope they will help some members and visitors who may have some trouble with English. More languages will be added in the future when these volunteers can get to them. It's a lot of work and a very slow process.

The new language additions may not translate all of the English Phrases in the Forums' phrase database. If any member that is using a selected language, and notices some missing phrase or text for that langauge, make a note of the English text, and if you wish, send me the translation in your language. I can add it to the phrase database. Please note, this does not apply to posts, only the stock phrases used in navigating the Forum. Posts made in any given language, will appear in that language to all users.
