History: The Canadian Fishing schooner Bluenose was designed by William J. Roue and built in 1920-1921 at the Smith and Rhuland Shipward in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. She was a salt banker, carrying salt in her bins rather than ice. She was the fastest schooner on the East Coast of Canada and the USA for many years.

Scale and / or dimensions: 3/16 " equals 1 ft, 27" length on deck 5 1/4" wide

Construction method / materials used: All lumber cut and sanded to scale. All blocks, tackle, and hardware are made from scrap pieces of wood and metal. Hull, masts, booms made from bass wood. Deck and cabin made from cherry.
