Ship Modeling Forum - 2007 Model Competition - Winning Models

Congratulations to the winners in the Competition and thank you to all those members that participated!

A note about the Honorable Mention and the Best in Competition awards. Honorable Mention is the model that places the most votes in any of the three categorizes, but does not win 1st, 2nd or 3rd place in any category. In essence, the best 4th place model overall. If a model wins Best in Competition (most votes overall), obviously, that model has also placed 1st place in it's particular category. In that case, the models that finished 2nd, 3rd and 4th in that category will be placed as 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively. In other words, a model that wins the Best in Competition can not also win the 1st place award in that same category.

I want to take this opportunity to thank all of the members that participated in the Competition. To those who entered models in the competition and to those who voted. To quote one member's comment "I am just having a very difficult time deciding who to vote for because they are all so good!" How true. All excellent work!

And a special thank you to our two members that volunteered to be vote monitors, chhbmd (Charlie) and blueboy7 (Tony). They gave up their voting privileges so they could monitor and verify the vote counts. Thanks guys!

The Competition seems to have been a success and I think we will continue with it every year. Thank you all, Cheers, John (Cap). You can view the final vote tallies below for all models.
